For Presenters

Presenter Agreement

Plain-language terms for presenting a sponsor-supported CPE webinar with CPE Society.

This is a plain-English summary of our standard terms, not legal advice. Your booking confirmation and countersigned agreement are the binding documents. Have your own counsel review before signing.

1. What CPE Society provides

  • A live webinar slot on our platform, hosting on Zoom, and a dedicated webinar page.
  • Promotion of the session, plus automated registration, confirmations, and reminders.
  • The full registrant list (names, emails, firms) for your session — yours to follow up with.
  • Attendance verification and issuance of CPE certificates to qualifying attendees.

2. What the presenter provides

  • Session materials by the stated deadline (typically 7 days before): title, description, 3–5 measurable learning objectives, your bio, headshot, and slides — submitted via your Presenter Portal.
  • A live, on-time presentation of the agreed length, delivered personally by the named presenter.
  • Participation in attendance-monitoring prompts (polls/checkpoints) during the session, as required for CPE.

3. Educational, non-promotional content (required)

  • Sessions must be educational and objective. They may NOT be a sales pitch for the presenter's products or services, and may not disparage others.
  • Sponsor-supported sessions are disclosed to attendees as such. Brief, factual identification of the presenter and their firm is fine; promotional selling is not.
  • CPE Society may edit or remove content, or cancel a session, that does not meet these standards.

4. Sponsorship fee & payment

  • The presenter pays the sponsorship fee set out in the booking confirmation/invoice. Payment is due before the session unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Fees are non-refundable once materials are published or within 7 days of the session, except where CPE Society cancels.

5. Leads & data

  • The presenter receives the registrant list for their session and may contact those registrants, honoring all applicable email/privacy laws (CAN-SPAM, etc.) and any opt-outs.
  • CPE Society also retains and may contact registrants under its own privacy policy. Neither party sells the other's data.

6. Recording & content rights

  • CPE Society may record the session and make the recording and materials available on-demand and for promotion.
  • The presenter warrants they own or have rights to all content presented and that it doesn't infringe third-party rights.

7. Cancellation

  • Either party may cancel with at least 7 days' notice. If the presenter cancels late or fails to appear, the fee is non-refundable and future bookings may be declined.
  • If CPE Society cancels, the presenter's fee is refunded or the session rescheduled.
